Introduction to Writing Effectively

In this assignment I was instructed to write effective thesis statements. This was one of the first discussion boards done around January of 2009. The reason I chose to include this discussion board assignment is because in the past I always thought my thesis statements were my weak spots. However, after reading the responses I received for these thesis statements, I no longer believe so. I especially liked my first thesis statement because it hits the heart of the issue and brings up a valid point, “we are a nation of immigrants.”
