Introduction to the Argument Paper

It took me a few tries but I am confident in this piece. I took the argument paper through much scrutiny when put through the writing process. The title is Student vs. Working student. In this last paper written in early March, I was instructed to “write an argument paper that demonstrates your understanding of what a good argument essay is as well as all the parts of an effective essay.” (Phebe Shen) I believe I did that well. One of the things I believe I excelled in was, my voice came through in an articulate way, and my organization skills greatly improved from the start of the class. As well as my thesis statement was strong and clear and I researched both the negative aspects and the benefits. After reading over Phebe’s comments my new thesis statement is even stronger than before. “Both have their specific advantages, but it is better to go to school full time than to divide one’s time between work and school if at all possible.” So therefore my revision skills greatly improved.
